She has been playing with Prasanna, relative, who is an year older than her. Every morning she gets excited to go to the park so that she can play with her. She is fond of dini and when she is the park she must hold her hands and she insists dini to accompany or help her where required. Prasanna is also fond of her and her face brightens when she sees Rachida. They walk holding hands, run, play with leaves, selling game, laughs, jumps and share snacks. Once dini says, " Times up!" we are off to each other's home.
We have been successful potty training Rachi and with the time she has welcomed this new function and yes she has mastered in no time. Hearing many complaints and frustrations from the other parents, we accepted some frustrations but then it was easy for her to follow up this new applied routine. She is able to control her bladder and knows when she needs to go. When we are out, she does control and does at home after she gets in.
She has moved from diapers to potty. It was not difficult for her to change the habit of using potty. Initially once or twice she messed up carpet but then in no time she mastered her bladder movement and spoke when she opted to pass the urine or stool. She knows when she needs to use potty.
- She knows when to say, “Excuse me!”
- She throws rubbish inside the bin that lies on the corridor of the designated floor.
- She has only watched the song, “Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday” and then she can sing readily. She also sings Inchy winchy.
- For the first time she used the words such as Slippery(she says slippery floor) and Smelly. She has found a bit hard to pronounce the words that began from the letter S. She made us laugh when she questioned, “ What you smelling, mommy?”
- “Help me wear crown, Papa” this sentence sounds rather hard for the non-Native English speakers. The syntax of the sentence is constructed in such a manner that anyone of her age or probably elder can be totally confused. She blurted out when her papa had just arrived from the work. We both were shocked. Speaking of language and clarity, she has shown enthusiasms. When we tell her new words, she repeats it over and over again until that gets into her mind. It is a kind of good lesson that she has taught us. She can say two long sentences easily. For instance: Mommy eat rice and baby drink water.
- She knows when to use the words such as DRINK or EAT.
- Whenever she meets someone, her relatives and we asked her who she met or what did they say/do/play. She does tell us. Like Numa hit koku. Koku give me chocolate. Uncle give me coke, etc.
- When mommy or papa pretend to be upset, she does too.
- Everytime she goes to bed, she says, "Mommy give you something after waking up.” She means to say that mom will give me something after waking up.
- She likes to act like Prasanna di and Chinkey(Hindi series character)
