Park Island

Ma Wan Saan Beach

Having a rest
Rachida's first time to visit Park Island on 9th April, during the Easter Holiday. We went there to visit Hema who has been living there for 7 years. We traveled by the trains to
Tsing Yi and after that we rode the bus to reach to the Park Island.

Quiet and peaceful, fresh air to breathe more like a countryside. A few people were seen strolling around and the only means of public transportation was the bus. The Island is free from the pollution that overlooks Tsing Yi and Ma On San bridge.

Building castles

Bare foot on the sand
After we had take away from the Chinese Restaurant, we went to the beach. While Hema lied on the beach, we mom and daughter played with the sand and water. It felt good to walk on bare feet. Rachida was in a sheer happiness and she enjoyed the every moment. We made castles in the sand, collected shells and played with the waves. Rachi was thrilled to play with water and once the wave grew weaker we played the water with our hands and feet.

Ba ba Black sheep
It was just a fine day to bask on the sun. We both got sun tanned and hopelly got some vitamin D, hope not the ultraviolet rays though.
Relaxation
Afterwards we went to the garden. It is located on the hills and it was a good walking, more like hiking. It was hard for both of us to walk on Hema's pace. So on time to time we had to tell her to slow down. Having seen my slower pace, I came to realize that I need to shed some 5-8 kilos. The day grew hotter and sunny and we both were reddish from the heat. Nevertheless, it was good that we burnt some pounds. After completing the walking task, we got down to the beach's washroom and cleaned up, ready to go back to Hema's place again. We chatted for a while and had some snacks and as the clock chimed 5:30pm, it was the time that we walked to the bus stop. We only had to wait for a few minutes for the bus. We waved good bye to Hema and jumped on the bus. As soon as we sat down, Rachi was in a deep slumber. I tried waking her up but she would not. I had to struggle with my two bags and Rachi on my arms while getting off the bus and getting on the train. The train came packed with people, so there was no vacated seast for us. Anyway, finally when we were to alight in Yau Ma Tei, Rachi woke up. My arms were hurting like hell and as she walked I felt a huge relief.
Although it was a tiring trip, it was worthwhile going to the Island. Rachi could see something new and she anticipates going to new places. Even for a few hours, being in the peaceful and cleaner place, our hearts might have function in ease or more efficiently.
