2 Years and 4 months

Macaroni...yum!
5th January 2012, is the day that Rachida turned 28 months. According to her age, she is developing normally in terms of physical and intellectual. Very often she amazes us by acting like a grown up.

She can build up sentences and replies if asked something. For instance, mom says, " I love you, baby!" and she replies, " I love you, mommy or I love you, papa

When she upsets mom, mom says, " baby, mommy upset! and then she says," baby upset, mommy"
She also says:
-I miss you papa!
-I want IQ bubu.
-Baby go to bed
-Baby is upset
-Mommy, go away.
- Baby watch, Baby TV
- Papa buy something
- Go to vegetable market
didi sanga kheldei
- Mommy buy balloons
- Baby, mommy and papa go to park. Sometime she mixes AND, she things and is also like mommy or papa. So, she tries to include in the sentence like this: Mommy, baby AND go to bed. Or Papa, baby AND go to park.

Papa feeding me
If mom or papa has promises to buy or do something to her, she does not forget and keeps on reminding us.

Ultimately a huge relief for mom. She stopped(12th January 2012) drinking mom's and instead totally on Progress Gold formula milk. When she is needed to drink, she simply says, " IQ bubu" and brings her milk and hands it to mom/papa. When she sees ads on the TV on formula baby milk, she caricatures.

Numa's birthday
If she wakes up in the middle of the night, she simply needs a simple pat on her back and then she goes back to bed. Sometime we can hear her talking and laughing in her sleep.

In the park when she is playing with the Chinese children, she tries to communicate with them in Chinese. Of course she does not know except a few words like HUM KAI SAI! SAP MAAN, KUNG HEI FAT CHOI! FANGYOU etc. And the Chinese try to listen and understand what she is talking about. And with the Nepalese she follows whatever she says in a a broken syllables.
Rachida tong maai pengyou
  • After a new dress is bought to her, she points out to the label and says, " mommy, cut, cut" so she can wear it.
  • When she is scared of a stranger, she hides behind mom and does not look at the person.
  • She enjoys wearing and playing the stuff that her papa makes.
  • She knows what Angry, Sad, Happy, Pain means and makes happy and sad faces.
  • She likes watching "Mr Bean" and caricatures.
  • She intends to be some other person like the little baby and acts and the older children in the park.
  • She shows Zealousness when she sees mom and papa caressing. When we sit on the sofa or anywhere, she must sit in the middle.
  • She moves her body like the ladies magicians that she sees on " Masters of Illusion"
  • She sings her own version of songs using the tunes from the songs that she is familiar with.
  • Demands us to sing for her. She says, " mommy, sing, chan chale" and we must sing.
  • She expects something from the visitor.
  • She wants us to stand together. She says, "TOGETHER" and 3 of us must be standing together.
  • She readily operates mom's phone, watches her photos, plays videos and she is amazed by them. She does not get bored watching the same video over and over again. As soon as she finds mom's phone on a reachable place, she waste no time grabbing and engaging on it.
  • She likes to play with coins and opens mom's purse as soon as she finds it lying around.
  • When mom takes out Rolling Pin, she knows that mom is going to make bread/roti and she says, " Mommy make bread" and she must get some dough so that she too can make bread and play with it.
  • When she is upset, her tantrum is quite obvious. She cries and says, " Go away, mommy!"
