Today, 5th March 2011, our darling Rachi turned 18. At 17 months she has started to kiss photos. She babbles, " No no no, whoa, ah ah, kaka, papa, mama, haam haam(when she wants to eat something)

She understands most of things we tell her to do, when we ask her to do certain things sometime she does eagerly and sometime very adamant that she doesn't show an interest at all. When she wants to please us, for instance if I had upset with her, what she does is comes closer to me, smiles and kisses me. She knows how to spread smiles on her faces.

"Bu bu" makes her jump. When she is in the middle of something or busy with her toys/ bags, she would immediately leave her things aside and comes with a wide smile on her face to be nurshed. Even though I have been trying to bottle her sometime, the mission has been unsuccesful, she shows the least interest on the bottle milk. But slowly, need to replace her from breast milk to bottle formula milk.

 Her achievements during  17 months:
* if you hum a song/play a song, she starts twisting and bending her body.

* points out/asks for food and drinks.
*acts impulsively like crying/showing temper when she strongly wants something.
*she sips from the bowl/plate/cup
* She started showing "Eyes, tongue, nose"
* She points out to the dogs/cats and says, " kaka"
* At 17 months and 7 days - she was 84cms tall.
* If she is angry, she nags around by throwing herself on the bed/sofa to show her frustration,
* She has developed "Intellectual Readiness" copies most of the things right away.
* She chases birds and dogs in the park.
* She insists on walking rather than being carried.
* At home she likes to be carried

* She does, "Cheers" when she gets her water bottle, she must Cheers.

* She likes to carry bags and likes to play her dolls.

* The first thing she does in the morning after getting up is find her slipper and wears it..

While we have been brushing she has shown interest, so we have started giving her a tooth brush. She puts into her mouth and imitates brushing.

Recently she  has started touching her nappy when she feels wet. When she is passing stool or has completed she asks mama for help by giving a loud cry.
