23 months plus Cognitive Development

Rachi reached 23 months on 5th August 2011. Since I have been taking classes every Monday, she has been with her papa for 3-4 hours a week. When she knows mama is heading to the class, she gets up and waves "bye bye" She doesn't follow. She spends her time with papa watching The Wiggles/dancing and singing with the group. She has shown a strong admiration for this particular band. When papa tunes or plays a music, she starts to dance and prattle words of that song.

The most achievement of this month is her language development, cognitive development. She can say any words readily and clearly.
Activities of a 23 months old toddler:
* If she wants to get something and that is unreachable, she takes a stool and climbs, then some asks her papa to  "bui" and take her closer to the shelf from where she could grab/take it herself.
*She says "change" and hands a diaper.
*Cognitive development, she can say any words after us.
* She cries less and when she cries it is like she wants to get our attention, which I call a fake cry.
* she sings the songs that are being played.
* She says " Thank you" when she receives things and when she wants to get the thing.
* If we raise her a voice, she too does and then makes her face about to cry.
* At 23rd months and 16 days, she danced in the Night Market and did not want to move an inch away from that place. She had audience to watch her actions.
* She is very affectionate, likes to be cuddled, hugged and kissed. We all do all the time, because this is very important for the child that she knows that she is being cared by her parents.
* She is very very friendly when she meets kids, especially of her age and she can become quite friendly to elders if she likes them.
* In the middle of drinking bubu, she gets up smiling, looks mama's belly admiringly ,massages mama's belly, smiles and lies down to continue drinking.
* Counts 1-10, sometime stops on 3, wonders and continues counting.
* She can say yellow and red and can recognize. I do not recall teaching color yellow. recognize
* Her average sleeping hours per day has gone down to 11 hours.
* When we are heading home, she knows that and pulls us to the other direction that leads to park, library, etc. She loves being in the library. Points out and says Library when we are near by.
* Mummy says, " baby cry" and then she produces an infant's cry.
* During the nights she sleeps stretch 10 hours and requiring mummy to feed her. Most of the time, she is fed only at 9am and just one side.
