4 months plus

Today our dearest one is 5 months old. during her 4 months period she has been doing lot of new things....
1. puts her fingers anything that come across her face.
2. when something gets on her face, she can remove them.
3. she can sit with a little aid
4. she can sit on her tummy for a longer period.
5. she laughs a loud when she is tickled, or on something amusement
6. she can hold her hands together.
7. she can hold her rattle for longer time before throwing ..
8. cries when about to sleep this is to soothe herself...
9. she moves/jerks her head violently while falling asleep.
10. she can take off her socks and shoes.
11. Changing nappy has been difficult as she moves her legs vigorously.
12. when she is agitated or not in a mood during feeding time, she would deny to drink for that she needs her toy/music being played - these soothe her and drinks milk happily & playfully.
13. one thing about this stage: she has developed Screaming habit...in fact she screams a lot.


As I remember it was 4 times when I changed her diaper, I found soft clear like tiny cube (crystal)....I got bit worried about it...so when I used search engine Google to find out it gave me a huge relief. It was very normal and it is called " Urate Crystal" which is soft tiny cube like Jell O - it is common when kids are dehydrated but it can show on a healthy babies at any time. It just comes from having lots of urate in the urine. I also checked my baby whether she was dehydrated, but she is healthy, she is 100% on breast milk, lots of saliva, her lip is always moist and 10-12 diapers are needed for a day......
Lately she has been waking up during the nights....it is the cause of "Teething" she sometime can become quite agony, it is quite painful to see her cry....but this will pass anyway....only for a short while...

27th Jan 2010, she could lift her head while breastfeeding ....she even can lift her both legs and hands..

If she is on the pram, whenever she sees me, she opt for my warm embrace and smiles so that I would lift her up;. She smiles with all her heart that kills me secretly..
