Only few days ago, we have been able to complete this documentary. For a couple of weeks Rabin was busy running here and there for shooting. He did not sleep well, it does not mean that he had sleep deprivation, it was just that he had limited amount of time to meet the deadline. He holds the biggest credit to accomplish this task. Thanks to Dinesh dai, who is the main character of this documentary. He was also busy with Rabin, providing all his accumulated song albums, interviews, photos, etc. He did work endlessly with Rabin. Since the submission date/deadline for FSA was 30th June, having limited time, we had to rush up editing and subtitling, which were done at the very last minute. Since I used the Adobe Encore DVD 2.0 for subtitling, this software later turned out to be a huge pain. We were hoping to send to Nepal on 23rd June, through Bhawana, but we could not. It was very upsetting day for us. We tried so many ways to make it right, but every time Rabin came up with new idea, we tried but failed one after another. For couple of days, we were kind of awake whole night, thinking about the solutions. We would be lying down, suddenly Rabin would say, " I have an idea. Let's do this way. " Then I would say, " Let's wake up and do it right now." Yes, then we jumped off the bed and applied, but failed several times, then we would go to bed in dismay.....We would search internet but to our dismay, we could not find the pertinent answers we were looking for. I was so stressed out. I murmured, " all the hard work has mixed in the soil." Rabin would tell me to cool down, it will be fine. After his assurance, we finally made it. But then, one problem was cleared, the other erupted. The final part was to burn the DVD, we had loadsa problem with that. Finally, we overcame that burning problem, now was the time to send it to Nepal. We only had 3 days, I was panicking whether the flight to Nepal would be cancelled or dealyed. Lot of negative thoughts surrounded me. Finally, after last proofread, we were able to send it on 28th June 2009. Our stuff would reach in Nepal on 29th and anyhow it must reach to the co-ordinator hands by 29th afternoon.
Finally, my brother Ashok received the copy, we made 1 copy for the family to watch. Ashok helped us lots to reach the DVD before the deadline. Finally, when he said that he had posted, I was so relieved. I was lighter. Finally, I was able to breath a sigh of relief. All those nights and days hard work was about to pay.
Rabin inquired Ms Upasana whether the DVD had arrived in her office, she upsettingly said that she was not able to receive it. It was already 2nd July/. My god, we were so shocked. How could this be. Ashok already posted in Patan's Post office, how long will the bloody postman take to deliver the package to a nearby area. I got quite agitated. Oh, god....I panicked while Rabin informed me, I was preparing meal when he conveyed me the message. Suddenly, I felt sick and hot, you know stuff like that. I wondered and doubted whether my brother Ashok had posted to the right post box. I called him and he said he did accordingly we told him. I told him to call the office or the post office and to make sure that they have really received it. It was not his mistake. coz we are damn sure that he had posted and dropped to the right designated post box.
Later in the evening, after my usual evening walk, as I sat online, Rabin told me check his email. Still little upset, I opened his hotmail account, and yes there I was able to receive the email from FSA, she had informed that she had received it and result would be publicized on end of July 2009. I was so happy that I jumped with happiness. Finally, I gasped and said, " Thanks god, you have heard my prayer. You are really almighty!" I hope we will be succeeded......I hope you sensed what I mean to say...
