14 Months plus

Dearest Rachida turned 15th months on 5th December 2010. She has been developing on her own pace, quite fast I would say comparing to her contemporaries. A friend of mine whose son is 18 months, has only 4 teeth and his legs are not that strong to walk properly. A baby girl of her age (just a day younger than her) is shorter and has just begun to walk, most of the time in the aid of her care takers and she only has two sets of teeth. These are examples only, not to be biased or something else. In fact, every child is a different individual, some blooms early and some are late bloomers.
Rachida likes Books/Notebooks. As soon as she gets hold of them, she flips the pages, makes herself engrossed, does like as if she is reading, as if chanting mantras.
At 14th months and 22 days, we went to Nepal.
In the playground she has found her favourite spot/stool where she enjoys sitting after walks. As soon as she sees the RED stool she forwards her steps and with a smile on her face, she slowly lets herself rest and cruies around.

At 14 months she was able to do followings
- She can get down from the bed.
- She smiles/laughs like an adult when she is having fun, playing toys or while she is watching Tv.
- She knows certain things like a Comb is used for Combing hair, Brush is for Brushing Teeth, Handkerchief for Wiping face and hands, powder/body lotion to massage her body, Cup for Drinking.
- She has shown a strong liking for Steamed Corn. On 9th Nov 2010, she surprised me by eating on her own.
- She walked with her hands in Namaste(11th Nov 2010)
- She has been sleeping less hours during the afternoons.
- She has been drooling excessively.
- She understands, SIT HERE, BU BU, HAND SHAKES
- tries to imitate whatever she sees in the TV.
- She can take off her shoes and socks.
- When she hears the phone ringing/vibrating she would hand the mobile to me.
