5th September 2009, today Rachida is a month old. She has been growing rapidly fro3.38- 3.49 - 3.67 kg.
Her next follow-up is on 8th September 2009. In a month's time she has been able to do followings:
1. Move her head firmly
2. Mover her hands and legs
3. Salute - seeing her salutation - we think that she would become a police - heheheh
4. Prattle sometime when she is playing joyfully on her own
5. Tries to turn her body
6. She moves from her sleeping position. Since we share a bed - I am left with a little space, almost falling off the bed
7. Hiccups often - due to small diaphragm
8. When a sip of water is given, she makes her face of dislike, she is into breastfeeding
9. She has started to stare on people and things.
10. Her hearing power is quite strong. When she is about to sleep or a light sleep even a slight noise can distract her.
11. She needs immediate action - if I am going to feed her, she know this - for instance if delay few seconds, she cries with high pitch.
12.Like her mum, she loves being massaged and caressed.
13. She sleeps on her left - Rabin tells me thus is perhaps because during my pregnancy with her, for health benefit I slept on the left side.
14. She cried with startle in her sleep.
15. She is very sensitive with the temperature - wet nappies, cried/stammers her legs - when hot she cries uncontrollably and stammers her hands and legs
16. She smiles on her own while looking at people/things or while she is sleeping
17. She loves to being touched at the back of her neck -
Even though there has been sleepless nights, anxieties and frustrations - it has been fun ever since she has been born. She sometimes gives 3 of us ( myself, Rabin n mum) hard time, but at the end of the night she is our adorable daughter. - She is the gift, her birth is a miracle. Seeing her, my heart gladdens and I feel due to my profound biological right to give birth to the loveliest baby - my sweet darling! she is my leaning shoulder at the old age. It is indeed a miraculous adventure.
