2 years and 8 months - May 2012

  Rachida at this age, she seems a bit aloof with some people. She does not like to mingle with whoever she meets. Indeed she has preferences. Her readiness depends on whether one is friendly, charming and inviting. She likes women who smile at her. When she plays with her playmates, she tries to emulate them. Her playmateas always vary from age to the ethnic background.  When she meets a Chinese kid, she tries to speak in Chinese and this makes us laugh.  The other party would think that she is teasing him but indeed she is trying to communicate with him.



Rain rain go away!

  Children talk truth, this is vividly seen in the case of our darling daugther Rachida. Sometimes mama's tongue  mistakenly says Milk instead of Juice and then this little darling corrects me. She says, " Mama, not milk. Juice"
Intentionally I have done quite a few times and then she corrects me right away.

When awake she spends her time playing with phones. She plays Angry birds, talkie cat, she feed giraffe, plays peek-a-boo, bowling, cricket and many more which I am not familiar with. A shocking thing she did was downloaded esign, handsign, SketchEffect and SpecialEffect. I only came to know when I was trying to close the applications. Rabin later asked me what we had downloaded. God knows how much she had made a damage...Oh yeah, we have found out....it cost us $65.00



 

 I have seen many children of Rachi's age and some far older kids not trying to share their toys or any belongings.  But in case of Rachida, she shows no hesitations and she hands them and lets them play. Sometime she does let them have it forever.  She does not mind SHARING.

- If she is upset with us or we fail to give her something she wants, she says, " I don't like mama, papa or auntie, etc."

 - When we buy something from the shop, she expects a chocolate or a candy from the sales lady. She has actually received a quite often from the shops. Thus she automatically thinks that every sales person would hand her goodies. And that is not going to happen in every stores.

I enjoy playing with him

- When she needs to go to sleep, she says, " Mommy, let's go to the bed!"

- She has shown a huge interest on the games that are on papa's and mama's phones. She knows many games that mama does not know.

- When she is wrapped a diaper during her bed times, she does not pee. Instead she pees once she wakes up and needs a potty. She MUST have a potty.

- When she hears people speaking languages apart from Chinese and English, she asks, "What is he speaking?" she surprised me when a boy in the library spoke in Hindi and she popped up the question. And I replied her " Hindi"

- She likes Aamir Khan and when mama is watching Aamir Khan's shows she says, " mama Bom bom vole uncle! I like bom bom vole uncle."

- IF she is not interested on something on which she is not interested doing, she says, " I don't know" And that means she does not want to do no matter how hard we try.

- She says, " mama, I want to speak Hindi, Chinese" and then she starts...
