1 Year Old

5th Sep 2010, Today Rachida is a year old girl. I don't realise how fast the time has gone. It was only yesterday we brought our little one home, carrying on the arm, weighing 3.38 kilograms, today, she weighs
10.05 kilos. She is a big girl now. She likes to stand and walks all the time. She hates to lie down. As soon as she is awake, rubbing her still sleepy eyes, would get up and tries to stand up, still rubbing her eyes and her body being wobbly. Still yawning she would stretch her arms and hands and stands smiling. Whenever she wakes up from a good night sleeps, she is such a piece of beauty, with vibrant pinkish skin that shines like stars, her eyes as dark and luminous and her lips is unspeakably the color of dew fallen rose. Seeing her beauty and her charismatic I feel great that I am the mother of this adorable child who sits beside me and sleeps beside me. At the mean time she is resting her head against me. I feel proud that my womb has given the birth of this heathly adorable baby girl whose smile is a killer. It seems too much description of my darling, but I can't help jotting down. Only a mother knows what I am really talking about here.

During a year, she has been able to do followings:- 9th Sep at a year old and 2 days I offered her chicken soup, initially she sort of denied, but later she liked it. For a while as I stopped to serve her, she produced a sharp cry of wanting more.
- when she is not enough with milk, she produces a cry and stamps her feet.
- Her imitating sills have become conspicuous.
- when taken outside, she smiles and tries to speak/babble withothers and even chases other kids in the park.

- She puts things on the container. She knows where mama hides her mobile, Once she finds lying around on the bed, she would put under the pillow.
- she is very curious about new things she sees/gets.
- She can turn on/off tv and computer.
- She can walk with support, she enjoys wearing her pi pi shoes. When she sees mama/papa handing her shoes, she knows she will be going out and that excites her. She seems very happy whenever we gesture her to put on her shoes.
- she gives things to us if we say, { thank you and make a hand gesture.
She knows clanky sounds are made by the keys and these things open the doors. Once she sees the door, she tries to grab our keys and puts on the door knob, ready to open the door.
- she watches new things and copies right away.
- When we sing, " Happy Birthday to you" then she smiles and starts clapping her hands.
- She likes sabki laadli beboo serial's song and other Hindi serial songs. she has become a veey musical baby..she dances with the music and attempts to copy the music being played.
- New food - beef, sausages, raisin cookies, celery.
- When found a tissue/hanky she starts cleaning and also wipes mama's face.
- She basically eats whatever we eat.
she has turned into a very lively, cheerful and happy child. Seeing her make me feel good and smiles spread on my lips.
Sleepwise- she has been sleeping average 13 hours per day. She sleeps less hours during the day.
I have been feeding her less amount of milk. She is given 3 times meal(breakfast, lunch, dinner) and biscuits/juices/bread and milk in between.
